“Eco Partnersheep Insulation SA has obtained a construction permit from the Municipality of Făgețelu, Olt County, for a factory dedicated to processing wool and producing acoustic and thermal insulation products from wool. This production unit will position Romania on the global innovation map through a unique method of transforming an agricultural by-product, often considered waste, into a sustainable business.
The investment’s goal is to build and operate a factory for processing raw sheep wool. Through an innovative, zero-waste process, the factory will produce three distinct products: wool insulation—used in construction and the automotive industry, lanolin—used in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and shipbuilding industries, among others, and organic fertilizers.“

“The largest wool processing factory in Europe will be built in Romania. Romanian investors from Olt county, Făgețelu commune, invest RON 182 million (€36.4 million), as part of the state aid scheme, through financing from the Ministry of Economy, in a wool processing factory and in the manufacture of sound and thermal insulating wool products. The investment will contribute to reducing the negative effects of climate change, will lead to the achievement of the objective of energy efficiency, through the purchase and installation of photovoltaic panels, and last but not least to the creation of new jobs in a disadvantaged region.”

“The products will be used for the factory for the production of wool and for wire and thermal insulation products from wool. In addition, this infection is also treated with topical products such as lanolin, organic fertilizers in the form of pellets or a woolen compost.
The investment includes a production hall of 12,500 m2 and three lines for spinning raw wool. Cladding panels will also be mounted on the entire surface of the hall.”

“The largest wool processing factory in Europe will be built in Romania. The investment exceeds 182 million lei. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development announces that Romanian investors from Olt county, Făgeţelu commune, obtained the sum of 182,059,200 lei, within the state aid scheme, through financing from the Ministry of Economy, the funds to be used for the establishment of a factory wool processing and the manufacture of phono and thermal insulation products from wool.”

“Noua unitate din Olt va avea o capacitate de prelucrare de minimum 25.000 de tone lână brută pe an. Din lână se vor fabrica pâsle fono și termoizolante destinate industriei auto, construcțiilor civile și industriale, precum și produse secundare ca lanolină, îngrășăminte organice sub formă de pelete, compost rezultat din nămolul de spălare.”

Potrivit MADR, fondurile vor fi folosite pentru înființarea unei fabrici de procesare a lânii și la fabricarea de produse fono și termo izolante din lână, dar și pentru valorificarea unor produse secundare, precum lanolina, îngrășămintele organice sub formă de pelete sau compostul rezultat în urma spălării lânii.
Cea mai mare fabrică de procesare a lânii din Europa va fi construită în România.

“Proiectul evaluat și validat se va transpune în construirea unei fabrici prin care se va prelucra această valoroasă resursă, în care găsim finalitatea Programului LÂNA, pe care l-am început în anul 2017. Vom fi tot timpul alături de românii care vor să investească în această activitate prin crearea de mecanisme de colectare a lânii de la crescătorii de ovine din România, în acest moment fiind semnate scrisori de intenție cu asociațiile de fermieri pentru 15.000 tone lână brută”, a declarat ministrul Petre Daea.
